Director M. Night Shyamalan is on a roll, as his latest film Glass made $40.5 million and took the top spot at the box office. Shyamalan’s previous efforts Split and The Visit were also financial hits. Coming in second was the Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston drama The Upside. Here’s the top 10:

  1. Glass – With a $20 million budget, this flick’s $40.5 million debut means the film is going to have a solid profit.
  2. The Upside – Drama takes in $15.7 million.
  3. Dragon Ball Super: Broly – Animated feature collects $10.6 million. 
  4. Aquaman – Comic book feature checks in with $10.3 million and to date it’s made over $304 million domestically.
  5. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse – Acclaimed animated feature makes $7.2 million.
  6. A Dog’s Way Home – Family film makes $7.1 million.
  7. Escape Room – Thriller checks in with $5.2 million.
  8. Mary Poppins Returns – Feature has already made over $158 million and this weekend it collects $5.2 million.
  9. BumblebeeTransformers spinoff makes $4.6 million.
  10. On The Basis of SexRuth Bader Ginsburg biopic collects $3.9 million.
