For Samuel L. Jackson, a lot has happened in the past five decades. He’s gone from being a young, hungry social activist (he was an usher at the funeral of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) to becoming one of the most powerful and successful actors in Hollywood. He started down that road after switching his college major from architecture to drama and taking a lot of bit parts on the stage and screen.
