Some actors go from pilot to pilot, hoping that one of those TV shows will get a pickup and, if they’re lucky, last a full season. Then there’s Jesse Spencer. After arriving in America from his native Australia, the first pilot he landed was a quirky medical drama called House, which wound up running for eight seasons. Before he’d even filmed that show’s finale, he signed on for an NBC pilot, Chicago Fire. That show is now in its seventh season. As acting careers go, Spencer will be the first to admit he’s been very, very fortunate, and he’s extremely grateful for his good fortune. (Click on the media bar below to hear Jesse Spencer)
Chicago Fire airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on NBC.
