Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch was the top earner over the weekend, taking in $66 million and easily besting second place finisher Bohemian Rhapsody ($30.8 million). The Girl in the Spider’s Web had a weak showing with just $8.015 million and a fifth place finish. This weekend’s Top 10:

  1. Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch – Animated feature takes in $66 million.
  2. Bohemian Rhapsody Freddie Mercury’s story rocked enough people with $30.8 million.
  3. Overlord – WWII horror film makes $10.1 million.
  4. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms – Fantasy film collects $9.5 million.
  5. The Girl in the Spider’s Web – Film has a dismal debut with 8.015 million.
  6. A Star Is Born – Music drama takes in $8 million.
  7. Nobody’s FoolTiffany Haddish comedy makes $6.5 million.
  8. Venom Tom Hardy headlined comic book feature takes in $4.8 million.
  9. Halloween – Horror flick collects $3.8 million.
  10. The Hate U Give – Drama collects $1 million
