With the Star Wars franchise now in its fifth decade, still alive and kicking, Sigourney Weaver is still holding out hope that there’s still some life left in the Alien franchise.  Over the past several years, ideas have been passing back and forth between writer Neill Blomkamp and director James Cameron, but a fifth Alien movie still hasn’t gotten off the ground yet. Weaver’s hoping it does, because she’d love the chance to play her iconic character, Ellen Ripley, again. It earned her an Oscar nomination in 1986 and, even more importantly, made her a role model for millions of young women.
