Oscar winning actress headlines an all-star cast in Widows as Veronica, a retired teacher whose career criminal husband (Liam Neeson) is killed (along with his crew) after in a failed operation. Veronica gathers up the other widows and partners of these late crooks (Michelle Rodriguez, Cynthia Erivo, Elizabeth Debicki, Carrie Coon) to even the score and pull off their very own heist. The feature is directed by Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave, Shame).

Steve McQueen coming to me and saying ‘I do see you in this role’ was sort of exhilarating to me,” said Davis. “Someone said about an athlete that was coasting one time, they said he needed a challenge. That’s what I felt at that time when he offered it to me. I felt like I wanted the challenge.”
