Considering the movies Peter Farrelly has directed in the past have included Dumb and Dumber and There’s Something About Mary, it might come as a surprise to hear there’s a big Oscar buzz behind his new movie. Green Book, which sends an African-American and an Italian-American on a road trip through the racially divided South of the 1960s, is certainly a departure for Farrelly, who says there’s a strong message in the movie.
