You’ve heard plenty of stories about actors who worked low-paying jobs before getting their big break. It wasn’t quite the same for Ken Jeong. Though he made his way through the Hollywood ranks through his work as a stand-up comedian, that was only his side gig. During the day, he was a practicing physician at a hospital in the suburbs of Los Angeles. But after appearing in Knocked Up, his acting career took off, and his role in the “Hangover” movies made him a bona fide star. More than a decade later, Jeong’s still thriving in show biz, and he told us it still feels kind of unbelievable that things worked out the way they did.
