As a movie considered to be far ahead of its time when it was released 36 years ago, Tron has had a lasting impact on both fans and Hollywood. Its state-of-the-art visual effects, which were cutting-edge at the time, helped usher in a new wave of computer-generated artistry in filmmaking, and its high-tech theme has spawned many more screenplays set inside cyber-worlds. Bruce Boxleitner, who starred with Jeff Bridges in the 1982 film, told us he had no idea he was becoming part of what would wind up being such an influential project, because he was just happy to get a job! After returning to the big screen with Tron: Legacy in 2010, the series has once again been dormant since then. While there continue to be rumors about a third Tron movie, nothing has been confirmed.
