Kevin Costner may appear to make some odd career choices, but at least he’s been predictable in his unpredictability. Ever since he joined Hollywood’s A-list, he’s tried hard to align himself with quality projects. (Well, with the possible exception of Waterworld.) When we talked to Costner, he told us that his quest for quality has cost him a few paydays in the form of sequels, but he didn’t want to make any movies that would tarnish the reputation of the original. These days, Costner’s career path has led him back to a cable TV miniseries: Yellowstone airs Wednesday nights at 10/9c on Paramount Network.
