With so many superheroes flooding movie theaters in the last decade or so, it becomes difficult for each one to find a niche. Sure, the top-tier heroes come with a built-in cachet, but once you get down into the middle, those superheroes need something that will get audiences interested and into the theaters. Paul Rudd knew this when he was brought on to play Ant-Man, so he says that he sat down with Peyton Reed — the director of both Ant-Man movies — and figured out that the film’s real super power needed to be humor.
