With old TV shows being rebooted right and left, one of the shows that fans would love to have back would be Quantum Leap. The series, which starred Scott Bakula as a time-traveling doctor who would “leap” into the identities of people whose lives needed fixing, ran for five seasons on NBC. When it was unexpectedly canceled, the unplanned, unintended finale left many fans wanting more — and it’s possible that they may get it. A two-hour movie script, which could also serve to kick off a new TV series, has been written, though there are no immediate plans to start filming. If it does happen, though, Bakula thinks the idea of the show will still appeal to audiences. (Click on the media bar below to hear Scott Bakula)
Bakula currently stars on the series NCIS: New Orleans, and old Quantum Leap episodes are available on Hulu.
