Good and original ideas are hard to come by in Hollywood, so when a genre or storyline is popular, one movie just won’t be enough. Last year we witnessed the release of Goodbye Christopher Robin with Domhnall Gleeson playing writer A.A. Milne, and now Disney’s Christopher Robin (with Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin) is just around the corner.

Instead of focusing on Milne’s life, this fantastical tale centers on the characters who inhabited the scribe’s Winnie the Pooh stories. Now grown up, Christopher Robin returns to Hundred Acre Wood after a surprise visit from Winnie the Pooh and his friends (Jim Cummings voices Pooh and Tigger). The great news is the film’s directed by Marc Foster, who did a great job spotlighting J.M. Barrie’s (Johnny Depp) Peter Pan journey in Finding Neverland.

The film hits theaters August 3. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!
