Getting older in the 21st century isn’t the same as it was just a few generations ago, and Hollywood’s current crop of “golden girls” (and guys, for that matter) wants to prove the point with the new movie Book Club. With an all-star cast featuring Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, Richard Dreyfus, Don Johnson, Mary Steenburgen, and Andy Garcia, the film plays like a senior citizen version of a John Hughes movie, showing that no matter what age you are, friendship and fun never get old. Fonda and Johnson talked to us, and they said there are a lot of positive messages about aging in the movie.

Book Club opens in theaters this Friday.
