Late filmmaker Garry Marshall (Mother’s Day, New Year’s Eve) was a master at crafting ensemble driven comedies which, though light in tone, always managed to entertain. Dog Days is a flick that is right in that wheelhouse, and the good news is veteran actor Ken Marino, who directed last year’s first rate comedy How To Be A Latin Lover, is behind the camera. Dog Days follows the lives of various dog owners and their beloved best friends in the sunny (and of course smoggy) confines of Los Angeles. Nina Dobrev, Vanessa Hudgens, Eva Longoria, and Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) are just a few of the stars featured in the narrative. That being said, the stars of the film are the dogs, and check out the trailer and tell us what you think!
Dog Days opens nationwide August 10.
