Diane Keaton stars in Book Club as Diane, a widow who finds comfort in her friends (Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen). The friends also get inspired after their book club reads Fifty Shades of Grey, and the narrative focuses on their respective journey.
The movie’s central theme centers on the importance of lasting friendships. “It’s a bond, it’s a love,” said Keaton. “Finally, you find people you can trust and you’re happy to be with them really because you have your struggles with them. It’s like family in a certain sense. (Your relationship) with really close friends especially as you’re older, because you’ve lost a lot of your family.”

Book Club is now playing in theaters.
