Paula Patton stars in the Deon Taylor directed thriller Traffik, the story of Brea (Patton) and John (Omar Epps), a couple who passionate about each other. Their romance, as well as their lives, are threatened when a biker gang crosses their paths.
“Great entertainment is meant to take you away from your own life,” said Patton, whose previous credits include the overlooked epic Warcraft and Precious. “And in whatever way that is whether it’s to scare you, turn you on, and not make you think about your own life for a moment. That’s what art is meant to do but it’s also meant to educate you and it’s best hopefully (in shedding) a light on things you may not have known about.”
