Shailene Woodley (The Fault in Our Stars, Divergent) and Sam Claflin take on a true story that, from the looks of the trailer, must have been a physically challenging experience. The narrative centers on Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin), two sailors who set across the ocean on a high seas adventure. A Category 5 hurricane damages their ship and leaves Richard seriously injured. With no hopes of being rescued, Tami must pull herself together and find a way to make it to shore. The picture is based on Tami Oldhman Aschcraft’s book Red Sky in Mourning: The True Story of a Woman’s Courage and Survival at Sea.
The picture is directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who previously helmed the two Mark Wahlberg flicks 2 Guns and Contraband. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!
