Zachary Levi (Chuck, Thor: Ragnarok) is the voice of Joseph in The Star, an animated take on the Nativity story. Steven Yeun voices Bo the Donkey who, along with his animal friends, play an important role in the first ever Christmas. Gina Rodriguez co-stars of Mary in the feature which marks the feature filmmaking debut of Oscar nominee Timothy Reckart.
“It’s a really cool honor to get to bring Joseph to life and to be mixed up in this really cool assortment of awesome other actors and people that are bringing all the other animals to life, said Levi. “. . ..I think it’s going to allow for younger (and) newer audiences to see, hear and metabolize the Nativity story in a fresh new way which is exciting. I get to be Joseph who is arguing with a donkey for a lot of the movie and then their whole redemptive story. And so it’s awesome.”
