Chadwick Boseman Gets Revolutionary With ‘Black Panther’ Trailer

blackpanther1Chadwick Boseman’s career went on an immediate upswing thanks to his convincing work as both Jackie Robinson (42) and James Brown (Get On Up). With Black Panther Boseman takes on the role of one of Marvel’s most beloved superheroes as T’Challa (Boseman) is a man who places his people before his own comfort.

Directed by Creed’s Ryan Coogler, Black Panther centers on T’Challa’s return to the advanced nation of Wakanda after his father (who’s Wakanda’s King) passes. Faced with foes all around him, T’Challa must claim his rightful throne but, more importantly, save Wakanda from heading down a dire path. The film co-stars Martin Freeman and Coogler collaborator Michael B. Jordan (along with Creed, they also paired up for Fruitvale Station). Check out the trailer, which features a mesh of Gil Scott-Heron’s spoken word piece “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” and the hip hop track “Bagbak,” and tell us what you think!

Black Panther opens February 16, 2018.

‘This Is Us’ Star Likes The Really Real Relationships

When people watch This Is Us, a lot of them feel like they’re watching their own lives on the TV screen, a tribute to the authenticity of the show’s storylines and the actors who make them come alive. Susan Kelechi Watson, who plays Beth Pearson, says she’s amazed a marriage as loving as Beth and Randall’s is on TV, since audiences seem to love shows that thrive on conflict.

After 30 Years, Cary Elwes Looks Back At ‘The Princess Bride’

Over the years, The Princess Bride has achieved legendary status in Hollywood. Shockingly, the movie wasn’t a big hit when it was released 30 years ago: It only grossed just over $30 million, and it never ranked higher than No. 3 for any weekend during its theatrical run. But Rob Reiner’s comedic fantasy has become one of the most beloved — and most quoted — movies of its generation, and it’s now looked upon as one of the classic movies of its time. The film featured an amazing ensemble cast that included Billy Crystal, Mandy Patinkin, Carol Kane, Fred Savage, Andre The Giant, and Peter Falk. It was also the breakout film for a young (and, at that time, unknown) actor named Cary Elwes, who looks back fondly upon the making of The Princess Bride. (Click on the media bar below to hear Cary Elwes)

Richard Schiff’s Road To ‘The Good Doctor’ Was Really Something!

Richard Schiff won an Emmy for his work on The West Wing, but he’s been largely absent from network television since that beloved drama signed off in 2006. He’s been involved with several other shows — mostly on cable — but he’s returned to primetime on ABC’s new medical drama, The Good Doctor. On the show, he’s a mentor and father figure to the main character, an autistic doctor played by Freddie Highmore. So what sold Schiff on The Good Doctor? Part of it was a talk he had with the show’s creator, David Shore (House), but part of it was an amazing experience he had when he was a young actor and felt like an outsider. (Click on the media bar below to hear Richard Schiff)

The Good Doctor airs Monday nights at 10/9c on ABC.
