While the creative team behind The Flash understands that they may have taken the show a little too far in a dark direction last year, they also understand that they can’t pretend it didn’t happen. So, while this new season will definitely have a lighter feel, the title character will still be dealing with repercussions of his actions last season. The Flash star Grant Gustin explained to us that Barry Allen (aka The Flash) has come through last season’s events a changed man, one he’s enjoyed playing in the new season’s episodes so far. In his new series, David Boreanaz is still working for the government. But instead of being an FBI employee, as he was on Bones for 12 seasons, he’s in the military on the action drama SEAL Team. From its name, you might deduce that it’s more of a military show than anything, but Boreanaz thinks of it in more relatable terms. (Click on the media bar below to hear David Boreanaz)
Emma Stone has received Oscar nominations for Birdman and La La Land, and now she’s one of this year’s top contender with Battle of the Sexes. The storyline centers on the landmark tennis match between Billie Jean King (Stone) and Bobby Riggs (SteveCarell).
“Billie Jean made it clear early on that she would be open to whatever process we needed to go through in order to bring this whole thing to fruition so we threw some balls around on a tennis court and I quickly realized that I wanted to watch a lot of footage from her time period and read a lot about her then because she is so fully formed now and is able to talk about this with closure and hindsight.”

Seen earlier this year in the twisty thriller Black Butterfly, Antonio Banderas is even learner and meaner in the upcoming revenge action flick Acts of Vengeance. The plot centers on a lawyer named Frank Valera (Banderas) who goes on a mission to find out who killed his wife and daughter. Putting his body through a strict regiment to become a one-man fighting machine and undergoing a vow of silence until he completes his goal, Valera is destined to amass a huge body count. KarlUrban (Star Trek Beyond, Dredd), Paz Vega (Spanglish), and Robert Forster (Jackie Brown) round out the cast.
Banderas has displayed his action acumen with The Mask of Zorro, The Expendables 3, and The 13th Warrior, and it will be interesting to see how he’ll mesh with Acts of Vengeance director Isaac Florentine (Ninja: Shadow of a Tear). Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!
Acts of Vengeance hits theaters and On Demand October 27th.
