War for the Planet of the Apes, the finest installment of the acclaimed trilogy, hits Blu-ray and DVD October 24 via Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

This time out Caesar (Andy Serkis giving an Oscar worthy performance) is on a quest for revenge after a ruthless man simply known as the Colonel (Woody Harrelson) leads an attack on his apes. After sustaining his share of tragedy, Caesar must devise a plan that fulfills his own personal vendetta and ensure the future safety of his apes.

Special features on the Blu-ray include audio commentary from director Matt Reeves, deleted scenes with optional commentary from Reeves, a concept art gallery, and behind-the-scenes featurettes (“All About Caesar,” “WETA: Pushing Boundaries,” “Music for Apes,” “Apes: The Meaning of It All,” “The Apes Saga: An Homage”). The DVD version comes with the Reeves commentary, art gallery, and the “All About Caesar” featurette.
