There are many benefits to working on a Luc Besson film. Along with his eye-popping action sequences, Besson is also known for having strong heroines in his work (Leon, La Femme Nikita, Lucy), and Cara Delevigne is yet another addition to that list with her charismatic performance in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

Since she and Valerian co-star Dane DeHaan have different approaches to acting, the pair were able to learn from one another.

“I kind of reminded Dane on how to laugh and to keep it fun and light,” said Delevigne. “We were so lucky on set. We got to have five day weeks we don’t get to do night shoots so we got to have a lot of spare time to explore the movie, the characters, but also Paris as well.”
