TCM Classic Film Festival

Michael Douglas’ career was celebrated at this year’s TCM Classic Film Festival, as he was interviewed by TCM host Ben Mankiewicz at the Montalban Theatre. Douglas also joined Manckiewicz for an interview sessions during the screening of The China Syndrome, a 1979 feature co-starring Jack Lemmon and Jane Fonda. The Douglas family have had a rich history with the fest, as Kirk Douglas attended the 2012 fest during a showing of Stanley Kubrick’s epic Spartacus. Both father and son worked together in the 2003 comedy It Runs in the Family which co-starred Bernadette Peters.

“(I’m) fortunate to have a father who’s going to be 101 in December and I’m out here right now actually living with him while I’m here with him in the garage upstairs,” said Douglas. “You can share so many other stories together so family, I think, really gives us more purpose really than any thing in my life.”
