‘The Deed’ Star Sidney Torres Recounts Lenny Kravitz Life Lesson

New Orleans entrepreneur Sidney Torres is a man who’s always on the move, and on the new real estate investment series The Deed he attempts to pull developers (and their properties) out of the red. The New Orleans based Torres‘ success includes SDT Waste and Debris Services, a trash removal company that was created in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and the $100 million, Bahamas resort The Cove.

Though Torres is business minded, his ambition is also tied into helping people make a difference in their respective communities, and he’s not afraid to get down and do the dirty work himself.

Part of that work ethic comes from his friendship with Lenny Kravitz. Fresh out of high school and working with one of music’s most prominent artist, Torres was eventually fired by Kravitz, and it was a move that made a positive impact on his life.

The Deed premieres tonight on CNBC (10 pm et/pt).
