Google’s virtual reality platform Daydream is getting a boost from one of videogame’s most iconic creatures as Virtual Rabbids: The Big Plan comes out this spring.
The Ubisoift mobile game continues the adventures of the Rabbids, a franchise that has amassed over 14 million games sold.
Gamers will have to chase down a collection of Rabbids who have stolen and reconfigured a top secret nuclear safety password. With the use of the Daydream headset and controller, players will search for hidden toys and interact with various gadgets and tools as they try to recover the missing digits of the password.
“Ubisoft is committed to exploring new technologies and platforms that deliver more immersive and interactive gaming experiences,” says Dominique Tardieu, VP of sales and marketing, Ubisoft’s mobile business. “We’re happy to bring Rabbids to Daydream as it enables us to offer players a high fidelity game in a mobile VR environment and we’re looking forward to explore the gameplay ideas and interactive opportunities on this new device for developers.”
Although the announcement trailer doesn’t offer any footage from the game, it’s fun watching a couple of Rabbids fumble their way through a Daydream experience. Check out the clip below and tell us what you think!!
