Divorcee Rachel Watson’s (Emily Blunt) daily train ride to New York is filled with its share of bittersweet memories, as she continues to see the home where she and her ex-husband once lived. When a next door neighbor (Haley Bennett) appears missing, Rachel believes the woman’s fate may be directly linked to the circumstances surrounding her recent hangover.
“I felt that the main thrust (of the film) is that yes, she suffers from this disease,” says Blunt about Rachel’s alcoholism. “But most of the film is about, less about her being a Nancy Drew character trying to work out (this) whodunit, it’s more about (trying) to make sure she didn’t do it. I thought how f**king fantastic for a female heroine to be a blackout drunk.”

Throughout Kurt Russell’s great film career, he has starred in his share of successful films, and most of his more special collaborations include working with members of his family. Russell collaborated with longtime partner Goldie Hawn in two films (Swing Shift and Overboard). However, he hasn’t worked with any other members of his family until now. Russell stars in the new film Deepwater Horizon with Mark Wahlberg and stepdaughter Kate Hudson. The Almost Famous actress has a close bond with Russell, who raised her along with Hawn from an early age.
Some might think that Russell and Hudson had always planned to work together on the film, but as Russell tell us, that’s not exactly what happened.
