Katie Holmes, recently seen in Showtime’s Ray Donovan and the Helen Mirren headlined feature Woman In Gold, stars with Luke Kirby in the upcoming movie Touched With Fire, as the pair play two poets with bipolar disorder. Their creative highs and lows are fueled by their respective, and oftentimes extreme, emotional states, and when they befriend each other at a treatment facility, their passions are pushed to its limits.

We interviewed Holmes several years ago, and she talked to us about her collaboration with director Guillermo del Toro, who executive produced the project Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (Holmes starred in the film with Guy Pearce).

Executive produced by Spike Lee, Touched With Fire doesn’t hit theaters until February 12, 2016, but the trailer hints at what could be one of Holmes’ most memorable performances. Kirby is best known for his work on the TV shows The Astronaut Wives Club and Rectify.
