trevor-noahIt’s just a matter of days before JON STEWART steps down from his 16-year post as host of Comedy Central’s THE DAILY SHOW and only weeks until comic/writer TREVOR NOAH steps in to fill the void. It’s going to be a tough act to follow as STEWART has become, to some, the most trusted newsman in America and the source of some of the most biting social satire since the late ’60s and early ’70s.

A half-black/half-white native of South Africa, NOAH has been working in this country for several years, has been a frequent contributor to The Daily Show and is no stranger to tackling political and social issues.

Speaking to reporters yesterday at a TCA press conference, NOAH responded to questions regarding the pressure of taking the reins of such a highly regarded series and admitted that his concerns are more of the personal variety than the professional. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)

TREVOR NOAH begins his tenure on THE DAILY SHOW 9/28 on Comedy Central.
