Arriving in theaters today (and available via VOD), HORNS is a weird, darkly comic supernatural love story centered on a young man determined to find the killer of his girlfriend. Falsely accused of the murder, he mysteriously grows a set of gnarled horns that apparently compel the people around him to confess their deepest darkest secrets. Directed by ALEXANDRE AJA and based on the novel by JOE HILL (author STEPHEN KING’S son), the cast includes DANIEL RADCLIFFE, JUNO TEMPLE, MAX MINGHELLA and JAMES REMAR.
A bizarre mixture of tension, gore and tongue-in-cheek humor, HORNS is most definitely not aimed at the HARRY POTTER demographic and may even be too over-the-top for older folks as well. That said, it’s almost always fun to see the choices RADCLIFFE makes as he moves away from the blockbuster franchise that took up over a decade of his life. At a recent press conference to promote HORNS, RADCLIFFE explained what attracted him to this odd script. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
