Returning next Sunday (it’s been bumped tonight for the World Series) to FOX, stumbling sitcom MULANEY continues to put on a brave front as it struggles with the ratings. Recently cut back from its original order of 16 episodes to 13, production has ostensibly stopped and it’s been reported that already one cast member, FORTUNE FEIMSTER, has moved on to a series on ABC. Inspired by the daily life experiences of former Saturday Night Live writer-turned-stand up comic JOHN MULANEY, the show just isn’t catching on with viewers despite a cast that includes MARTIN SHORT, ELLIOTT GOULD, NASIM PEDRAD, ZACK PEARLMAN and SEATON SMITH.
We recently sat down with iconic comic actor MARTIN SHORT who talked about his comedic roots and admitted that doing classic stand-up isn’t really in his comfort zone.
MULANEY returns next Sunday night on FOX.
