Daniel Radcliffe – Jon Hamm: Back For A Short Season Of ‘A Young Doctor’s Notebook’

125Now in its second season on Ovation, A YOUNG DOCTOR’S NOTEBOOK is such a delightfully quirky period piece that, at four episodes, it might be the shortest guilty pleasure on T.V.. A showcase for actors DANIEL RADCLIFFE and JON HAMM (who play the younger and older version of the same cocaine/heroin addled 19th century Russian surgeon), the series is a dark comedy much blacker (and deadpan) than what we’re used to and all the better for it.

That RADCLIFFE and HAMM (two of the busiest actors in the business) could even find the time to headline a small independent series is pretty hard to fathom. And, during a recent Television Critics Association press conference to promote the series, RADCLIFFE talked about how they were able to get it done. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)

A YOUNG DOCTOR’S NOTEBOOK airs Tuesday night on OVATION.
