The CBS mystery/drama Unforgettable is one of the most enjoyable shows on during the Summer. The series focuses on NYPD police detective Carrie Wells, played by Poppy Montgomery. Her character has a very unique medical condition called hyperthymesia, which is the ability to remember everything–including exact days and events that took place.
While hyperthymesia seems like something made up, it’s not. In fact, actress Marilu Henner has the condition and has displayed her abilities on many talk shows. During a press event for Unforgettable, Montgomery was asked whether she thought it would be a blessing or a curse to have hyperthymesia, and Montgomery said that after talking to Marilu Henner she has very mixed feelings.
