Far and away the biggest performer at this week-end’s box-office, TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is the fourth film in the series directed by MICHAEL BAY and estimated to have taken in a whopping $100M. And, while cast members in this CGI uber-franchise may come and go, it has always been (for better or worse) largely BAY’S vision and imagination that has driven the series to become Paramount’s best performing film series.
Given his record with the franchise, it’s hard not to imagine BAY a life-long fan but apparently that isn’t the case. We went back to an interview we did with the director shortly before the release of the first film and he admitted that working with theTRANSFORMERS wasn’t always a priority.
