This week marked the 34-year anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back’s release. (Or, for those of you who strictly adhere to revisionist history, Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.) As sequels go, it remains one of the best, adding iconic characters like Yoda and Lando Calrissian to the Star Wars universe, while shocking audiences beyond belief with just four words: “I am your father.”
With a new Star Wars movie making headlines (and a new trilogy on the way), it’s a perfect time to look back on Empire’s greatness. A few years ago, we caught up with Harrison Ford (Han Solo), who offered his opinion about why the film still holds up so well after all these years.
