Opening in theaters today, OLDBOY is a remake of director PARK CHAN-WOOK’S infamous 2003 South Korean cult favorite. Directed, this time around, by SPIKE LEE, the gruesomely graphic thriller stars JOSH BROLIN as a man driven by revenge for his mysterious kidnapping and 20-year imprisonment.
Ever since the news broke that LEE was attempting a remake, hard-core fans have taken to the internet to voice concerns that the film get the justice it deserves. We spoke with SPIKE LEE last week and he assured us that BROLIN met with CAN-WOOK and was given his blessing provided they ‘make it their own’.
