Insidious: Chapter 2 Haunts Blu-Ray & DVD In December

INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment) It’s been a productive year for filmmaker James Wan, as the Saw filmmaker came out with two hit horror films this year. The Conjuring is already out on Blu-ray and DVD, with Insidious: Chapter 2 streeting on December 24.

The narrative continues the story of the Lambert family as they continue to try to rid their lives of a dangerous spirit. This time out, it’s Josh (Patrick Wilson) who’s possessed, and it’s up to his wife (Rose Byrne), his mother (Barbara Hershey), and paranormal experts Specs and Turner (Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson) to figure out a way to save Josh’s life.

With just a $5 million budget, Insidious: Chapter 2 grossed an astounding $137 million worldwide.

Special features on the Blu-ray and DVD include:

**The featurettes “Peripheral Vision: Behind the Scenes” and “Ghostly Transformation.”

Blu-ray exclusives include three extra featurettes: “Leigh Whannell’s Insidious Journal,” “Work in Progress: On Set Q&A” features interviews with Whannell, Hershey, Wilson, Wan, and producer Jason Blum, and “Insidious: Spectral Sightings 3-Part Webisodes.”

During our interview with Insidious: Chapter 2 writer/actor Leigh Whannell, he talked about the Linda Vista, an abandoned location that was used for the film.
