Directed by Blade Runner luminary Ridley Scott, written by No Country For Old Men and The Road author Cormac McCarthy, and featuring a star-studded cast headed by Inglourious Basterds and X-Men: First Class breakout Michael Fassbender, The Counselor is a glitzy crime drama about beautiful people doing terrible things.
It marks the second teaming of Fassbender and Scott; their first rodeo together being the ambitious and divisive sci-fi thriller, Prometheus. At the new film’s press junket, we asked Fassbender what it was like working with Scott for a second go-round. The star had nothing but praise for the visionary director, whose next project — the biblical epic Exodus — started filming this month.
“[I] love working with him,” Fassbender said. “He’s full of energy. He’s a great leader. He’s inspiring. He’s fun.”
Okay, okay, take it easy, Michael — you already got the part.
Seriously, though, Fassbender and Scott are two great flavors that go great together and we’re hoping this is just the beginning of a long, happy relationship between them. (somebody send Russell Crowe some chocolates)
