Runner, Runner (Twentieth Century Fox, Scott Garfield)Next week is pretty big for Justin Timberlake, thanks to the impending release of his new album The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 and the October 4th debut of the thriller Runner,Runner.

With Runner, Runner, Timberlake stars as a student who believes he’s been financially bamboozled by an online gaming site and he travels to Costa Rica to confront the site’s seemingly corrupt owner (Ben Affleck). What ensues is a cat and mouse game in which Timberlake’s character gets seduced into an opulent world filled with money, women, and crime.

Co-starring Gemma Arterton and Anthony Mackie, the film was directed by The Lincoln Lawyer filmmaker Brad Furman.

On the music end, Justin Timberlake doesn’t want to be simply lumped into the “pop” category. “I don’t really consider myself a pop artist,” said Timberlake. “You just go in and make music. You just go in and try to make music that you don’t hear on the radio, because I that’s the only way to move the needle, so to speak.”
