A season off from The Voice has given Christina Aguilera a chance to soak in her previous three seasons on the show and completely process that intense experience. During the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour, Aguilera talked about how the time off helped her appreciate the show on a more reflective manner.
“I think it’s affected me more on a personal level than on a musical level,” said Aguilera. “I’m there to be a coach and share my experiences and as Adam (Levine) said we’ve done a lot in our careers. We don’t necessarily need to win this thing. We’re rooting for them to win. For me, I’ve been able to sort of remember the journey of when I started out and appreciating where I’m at now and taking a moment to step back because it’s important for me to step away from the camera and remember what my intention is now at this point in my life. As a mom, as a woman reentering the business, and now approaching it with fresh eyes for my team.”
