Christina Aguilera Says Shakira Did a Beautiful Job on The Voice

The Voice (NBC/Mark Seliger)

Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are back after they both took a hiatus last season on The Voice. For Aguilera, it was a break that she needed to have.

“I had to step away,” said Aguilera. “2010 I joined the show and it was a time when I sort of dive into something else outside of myself. It was like this train that just kept gaining and gaining and gaining more viewers as each season wore on and I needed a moment to step away. Thank god for Shakira – she did a beautiful job (just) sweet, lovely energy and (also) lovely for the show.

Cee Lo Green admits that watching The Voice as a viewer was “awkward and intriguing at the same time.”

Matthew McConaughey Is All In With Dallas Buyers Club Trailer

The Dallas Buyers Club (Focus Features, Anne Marie Fox) It’s amazing to see Matthew McConaughey’s output since 2011. After receiving great reviews in The Lincoln Lawyer, the actor has been on a creative tear, crafting a work resume featuring films of huge import (at least to people who love character driven films).

In a little over two years, we’ve had the chance to see him in Bernie, Killer Joe, Magic Mike, The Paperboy, Mud and come November 1st Dallas Buyers Club will debut in theaters.

The movie, which details the true story of Texas electrician Ron Woodroff’s fight to sell non-approved medicines designed to help HIV positive patients. Diagnosed with HIV in 1985, Woodruff was given just 30 days to live. Undeterred by the news, Woodroff would form a “buyer’s club” to help HIV positive patients receive access to these drugs.

Co-starring Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner, the picture could be up for its share of Oscar nominations, including a nod for McConaughey for the Lead Actor category. Both McConaughey and co-star Leto went through a huge physical transformation for the film, and hopefully that painstaking process pays off with a great film. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!
