Although he’s starred in two Percy Jackson films (the latest, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, comes out August 7th), Logan Lerman does not exactly see himself as an action star. Ironically the actor has also worked with director Darren Aronofsky in the highly anticipated Biblical epic Noah and he’s also set to star in the David Ayer (End of Watch) directed WWII feature Fury. We’re assuming both of these films do have their share of strenuous physical exertion, but yeah, don’t peg Mr. Lerman as the action guy.
“Yeah, I mean I enjoy it. It’s fun,” said Lerman, whose stellar early work includes the beloved but short-lived TV series Jack and Bobby and 3:10 to Yuma. “But it’s physically tiring. I can’t imagine going from action film to action film to action film. I’m just not that guy. I’m kind of lazy.”
After reading Lerman’s quotes, one may not be able to pick up his self deprecating manner, which has endeared him for years to journalists. Click on the media bar below to hear the Los Angeles raised actor talk about why he decided to pursue a career in showbiz:
Lerman’s other credits include My One and Only and The Perks of Being A Wallflower.
