Shadow Dancer’s Andrea Riseborough Reflects On RADA Years

Andrea Riseborough, seen this summer opposite Tom Cruise the sci-fi feature Oblivion, co-stars with Clive Owen and Gillian Anderson in the new thriller Shadow Dancer.

The feature centers on an IRA supporter named Colette (Riseborough) who is forced to serve as an informant for MI5 after her failed bombing attempt in London. Owen is the officer tasked with supervising her dangerous mission, and both of their lives are endangered the deeper they get into the operation.

For Mariska Hargitay, It’s Hard to Say Goodbye to ‘SVU,’ So She’ll Stay

NUP_155299_0664.JPGNBC and Law & Order:SVU fans were very concerned that star Mariska Hargitay, who has played Detective Olivia Benson for 14 seasons, might not return next season after her contract expired. However, devoted fans and NBC can now relax and be happy, because Hargitay has officially re-signed, tweeting over the weekend, “Happy weekend. It’s official. Season 15-I’LL BE BACK!”

Hargitay, who has starred on 319 episodes of the iconic series, told us that over the years there have been several episodes that stuck with her personally. Such has made her even more passionate about her own foundation, Joyful Heart Foundation, which works with the community to deal with issues of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.

Coen Brothers Receive Cannes’ Grand Prix With ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’

Inside Llewyn Davis, The Coen Brothers well received tale of a struggling folk musician, was honored at the Cannes Film Festival with the Grand Prix. Accepting the award at the fest was Oscar Isaac, who played Davis in the feature and was also honored with a Best Actor nomination (the prize went to Bruce Dern for Nebraska).

Casting the right actors for a film is one of the many strong points for the Coens, and Ethan plainly stated the challenges they faced for Inside Llewyn Davis, remarking, “We were screwed until we met Oscar Isaac.”
