Snitch Box Art

Dwayne Johnson’s most dramatically challenging part took place this year with the release of the thriller Snitch, and that film hits Blu-ray and DVD on June 11th.  Johnson plays a businessman who becomes an undercover informant to save his son (Rafi Gavron) from spending years in prison on drug possession charges.  Benjamin Bratt also stars in the film as a criminal kingpin who butts heads with the concerned father (Johnson).  The picture also stars Barry Pepper (True Gritt), Melina Kanakaredes (CSI: NY), and Susan Sarandon.

Special features on both the Blu-ray and DVD versions include a 50 minute making of documentary titled “Privileged Information: The Making of Snitch, as well as audio commentary from director Ric Roman Waugh and editor Jonathan Chibnall.

During an interview with Bratt, the actor talked about why director Ric Roman Waugh avoided rehearsal for a pivotal scene with Dwayne Johnson’s character.
