Mud (Roadside Attractions/CR: James Brides) Opening April 26th, Mud centers on two boys (Tye Sheridan, Jacob Lofland) who discover a fugitive (Matthew McConaughey) hiding on an island nestled in the Mississippi River.

The project is directed by filmmaker Jeff Nichols, who received excellent reviews for his 2011 feature Take Shelter.  The project, inspired by the writings of Mark Twain, shot for eight weeks in Southwest Arkansas.

During a recent interview, Matthew McConaughey talks about his own youthful relationship with Mother Nature, and he recalls building a tree house on a large oak tree.  To hear McConaughey, click on the media bar below:

Mud also stars Reese Witherspoon and Michael Shannon, who starred in both of Nichols previous films (Take Shelter, Shotgun Stories).
