Anne Hathaway/Oscars (Source: ABC)

Anne Hathaway won her first Oscar last night for her scene stealing performance as Fantine in Les Miserables, and the highlight of her speech came from acknowledging her husband, Adam Shulman.  She talked about her husband last night during the backstage press interviews at the Academy Awards.

“He’s just made everything better, and clearer, and more real” said Hathaway, who was previously nominated for her work in Rachel Getting Married.  “And that’s all I’m going to say, thank you!”

Hathaway was also asked by a reporter if she would ever relinquish her underdog status now that she’s an Oscar winner.  Although the actress was still on cloud nine, she says being an underdog is natural for her.

“You’re always looking for the next job, you’re always thinking at the end of one, it doesn’t matter what’s happened before, (you think) no one’s ever going to hire me again,” added Hathaway.”
