The film was marred in controversy due to its abundance of racial slurs and violence throughout the film. While many critics and audiences loved the movie, many simply hated the film and made no secret how they felt. Backstage at the Academy Awards, Quentin Tarantino said that he thinks it’s good to debate over the film, which was something he really wanted for it.
