Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown AKA Mel B was named tonight as a new judge on the NBC reality talent show America’s Got Talent. She will be joining fellow judges Howard Stern, the iconic radio talk show personality, and comic Howie Mandel. Brown will be replacing Sharon Osbourne who left the series after a bitter dispute with NBC for the way they treated her son Jack. Jack was going to star on another reality series for the network called Stars Earn Stripes. But after Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, the network decided not to let him compete due to what they described as the show’s level of “strenuous physical activity.”
Brown is no stranger to reality television shows. Previously, she was on the Australian version of The X Factor as a judge and was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.
Over the years we have spoken to Brown. She knows that it was The Spice Girls which gave her the platform to have the career she has today.
Mel goes on to tell us she has had the determination to make big since she was a teenager and goes on to talk about who she looked up to for inspiration.
America’s Got Talent auditions for the eighth season start next week in New Orleans.
