Friends and mutual fans since the 1970’s, Academy Award-winning actors MERYL STREEP and TOMMY LEE JONES have finally joined forces to bring a little gravitas to a romantic comedy that actually carries a fairly solemn message about communication and intimacy in a long-term relationship. Directed by DAVID FRANKEL from a script by VANESSA TAYLOR, the brilliantly cast leads are joined by an almost equally brilliant supporting cast that includes STEVE CARELL, JEAN SMART, BEN RAPPAPORT and ELISABETH SHUE.
Watching STREEP and JONES play off each other on screen, it’s a wonder the two have never worked together before. During our recent interview, they seemed as mystified by that fact as we were. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
