16Unforgettable, the CBS cop drama starring Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, was canceled by the network in May after airing for one season, despite having a loyal audience. Since the cancellation, the producers of the show had been looking at other networks to possibly air the show, albeit with no success.

But all that has now changed. According to Deadline.com, the series will return on CBS for a second season in the summer of 2013, airing 13 episodes.

The series centers around New York detective Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), who has a medical condition called hyperthymesia, which gives her the ability to remember everything. She joins her ex-boyfriend and ex-partner, Lt. Al Burns (Dylan Walsh) who heads the Queens homicide unit.

Last year, Dylan Walsh, who previously starred on the FX hit drama series Nip/Tuck, spoke about why the series was too good to turn down. (Click on the media bar below to hear Dylan Walsh)
